Applicants must possess the recommendation-for-exemption qualification granted by their home institution (as determined by the official list of recommended students submitted by the home institution to the NRE System). In accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Education and the admitting school/department, applicants must log in to the NRE System to complete the following steps: register, fill in basic personal information, and complete the online application process, which includes uploading a digital photo, paying fees online, submitting program choices, confirming acceptance of an interview (if applicable), and finally confirming acceptance of any offer of admission.
Preliminary Review and Interview
1. Upon receipt of the application materials, the School will convene an expert panel to conduct a preliminary review. A list of candidates eligible for the interview will be determined based on this assessment. Shortlisted applicants are required to attend the interview at the time and in the format specified in the official notification from the department.
2. Interviews will be conducted on-site.
3. Admission is competitive and merit-based.
4. The interview will be conducted as a comprehensive assessment. In principle, the interview for each shortlisted candidate will last no less than 30 minutes. A minimum score of 60 points is required to pass the interview. Candidates who fail to achieve a passing score will not be considered for admission.
5. The School will assess the ideological and moral character of candidates throughout the interview and admission process. This evaluation, conducted in a practical and realistic manner, will focus on the candidate's political stance, ideological inclinations, moral quality, law-abiding conduct, and personal integrity. Candidates who fail to meet the standards in this assessment will not be admitted.
For detailed interview rules and specific arrangements, please refer to the official notice on the School's website: http://scbb.pkusz.edu.cn
Provisional Admission and Public Notification
1. The School will determine a list of candidates for provisional admission based on the interview results, selecting the most outstanding applicants. If an applicant who has passed the School's interview and obtained provisional admission status fails to secure the recommendation-for-exemption qualification from their home university, their provisional admission status will become invalid.
2. The School will send provisional admission notifications to intended candidates via the National Recommendation and Exemption Service System. Applicants must confirm their acceptance of the provisional admission online within the period specified by the School. Failure to accept or confirm within the stipulated timeframe will result in the revocation of the provisional admission status.
3. The list of intended admittees will be published online by the School no later than October 20, 2025. Applicants may check this list on the School's official website or the Peking University Graduate Admissions Website. Any inquiries must be raised with the School within the public notification period.
4. Once admitted as a recommended exempted student by our School, the applicant will be ineligible to apply for that year's master's degree program admission examinations. Violation of this rule will lead to the cancellation of their admission status.
Final Review and Enrollment
Prior to the issuance of the official admission letter, the University will conduct a final qualification review of the recommended exempted students in accordance with the following requirements. Failure to pass this review will result in the revocation of the provisional admission status.
1. The student must have completed all credit requirements stipulated in their undergraduate program, including the completion of all prescribed courses, practical training components, and the undergraduate thesis or internship.
2. The undergraduate thesis or graduation design must have received a grade of "Good" or 80 points or higher.
3. Following the attainment of the recommended exemption qualification, no failing grades are permitted in any compulsory undergraduate courses.

Upon enrollment, successfully admitted students must present their original ID card, bachelor's degree certificate, and undergraduate graduation diploma for verification during registration. Failure to obtain both the bachelor's degree and undergraduate graduation diploma prior to enrollment will result in revocation of admission status.
Additional Matters
1. Applicants must guarantee the authenticity of all personal information, application details, and submitted documents. Any verified instances of academic misconduct, professional ethics violations, or lack of integrity—whenever identified—will lead to the revocation of application and admission eligibility, with formal notification sent to the applicant's home institution.
2. In the event that new enrollment policies are issued by higher-level authorities for the 2026 academic year, the School will make corresponding adjustments and announce them promptly.
