Prof. Jin-Quan Yu and Prof. Benjamin Cravatt from the Scripps Research Institute visited our school on Dec. 17.
Prof. Yu’s group centers around the discovery of catalytic carbon-carbon and carbon-heteroatom bond forming reactions based on C-H activation. Prof. Yu is really a pioneer in this field and has made a series of outstanding work. He shared his work and experience with our students.
Prof. Cravatt’s research group aims to understand the roles that mammalian enzymes play in physiological and pathological processes and to use this knowledge to identify novel therapeutic targets for the treatment of human disease. Prof. Cravatt shared his outstanding work in this field with our students and all of our students benefit a lot.
