    On Dec.19th, Prof. Ying-Yeung YEUNG from National University of Singapore visted our school for the invitation of Mr. Wang Guo-Xin in SCBB. In the morning, Prof. Ying gave all our teachers and students an excellent report about recent advances in bromination reactions in Room E-104. One of the research focuses in Ying‘s research group is on the development of novel bromination reactions using N-bromosuccinimide (NBS), an easy handle and inexpensive halogen source. In his lecture, they recent progress in the development of asymmetric and highly diastereoselective bromination reactions were presented. All of our teachers and students benefited a lot from his report.
