Dr. Gao Jinjun is currently appointed as an Assistant Professor/Specially Appointed Researcher, Principal Investigator, and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Chemical Biology and Biotechnology, Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School. The research group conducts interdisciplinary research across multiple fields, including chemical biology, proteomics, epigenetics, artificial intelligence, and cancer biology. The team is dedicated to developing innovative proteomic technologies and integrating cutting-edge chemical and molecular biology tools to explore the functional mechanisms of proteins involved in cellular processes and disease pathogenesis. The aim is to identify disease markers and discover new therapeutic targets and drugs. Specific research directions include: 1) Developing high-sensitivity proteomic identification and quantification strategies and deeply exploring the "protein dark matter"; 2) Investigating the regulatory mechanisms and functions of protein post-translational modifications; 3) Developing drugs based on bioactive natural products and peptide-based therapeutics.
