The School of Chemical Biology and Biotechnology/Chemical Genomics National Key Laboratory at Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School focuses on complex scientific issues related to major human diseases. Through interdisciplinary collaborative research in organic synthetic chemistry, computational chemistry, chemical biology, and translational medicine, it actively promotes the development of China's independent innovative drugs and is committed to cultivating high-level, interdisciplinary, and composite talents in biopharmaceutical R&D.
Professor Zhai Hongbin has been supported by the Chinese Academy of Sciences' "Hundred Talents Program" and the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. He has been selected as a national candidate for the New Century Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Talents Project, a national-level leading talent in Shenzhen, and part of the Ministry of Science and Technology's Innovation Talent Promotion Plan, among other honors. His research primarily focuses on organic synthetic chemistry. He has led or participated in several projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Ministry of Education. To date, he has published over 170 SCI papers in academic journals such as J. Am. Chem. Soc.,Angew. Chem., andNat. Commun..
We are currently recruiting 1–2 postdoctoral researchers and 2 research assistants.
(I) Postdoctoral Researchers
1) Have obtained or are about to obtain a Ph.D. in organic synthetic chemistry or pharmaceutical synthetic chemistry.
2) Possess a high level of English writing proficiency and a strong academic track record (e.g., academic publications).
3) Capable of independently conducting scientific research; passionate about science; and possess a collaborative team spirit.
4) The total annual salary for postdoctoral researchers is 350,000–400,000 RMB (including Shenzhen subsidies and research group allowances) and includes relevant insurance and housing fund benefits. Additional performance-based rewards will be provided for publishing high-level papers during the postdoctoral period. The research group strongly encourages and supports postdoctoral researchers to apply for funding as principal investigators, such as the Postdoctoral Science Foundation, National Natural Science Foundation, and research projects from Guangdong Province and Shenzhen City. The Shenzhen municipal government provides a 300,000 RMB grant to postdoctoral researchers who choose to stay or come to Shenzhen for scientific research work after completing their postdoctoral term and sign a labor (employment) contract of three years or longer with a local enterprise or institution, to be used for research investment or early-stage innovation and entrepreneurship expenses (specific details are subject to the latest Shenzhen municipal policies).
(II) Research Assistants (Laboratory Positions)
1)Hold a master's degree inorganic synthetic chemistry or pharmaceutical synthetic chemistry, or be an outstanding undergraduate with strong research capabilities, capable of conducting research in total synthesis of natural products or organic synthetic methodology.
2)Strong sense of responsibility, diligent and hardworking, and preferably able to work in a relatively stable and long-term capacity.
3) Salary and benefits will be implemented in accordance with the compensation system regulations of Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School.
