The School of Chemical Biology and Biotechnology at Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School conducts its graduate admissions in accordance with the core principles of "transparency, equity, and impartiality." The following outlines the interview arrangements for the 2025 doctoral admissions:
1.Interview Procedure
(1)The School will publish the list of candidates selected for the interview. Applicants should check the official website and participate in the interview as required.
(2)The School will verify applicant eligibility andcheckall submitted documentsprior to the interview.
(3)Applicants must attend the interview at the scheduled time. Failure to participate as required will be considered a voluntary withdrawal from the admission process.
2.Document Verification and Eligibility Check

(2)Original Highest Academic Degree and Diploma Certificate
o Fresh Master's graduates must provide an original certification letter from the graduate school or department of their current institution.
o Applicants who obtained their highest degree from overseas must provide Certificate Verification Reportissued by the China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center (CDGDC).
(3)Proof of Foreign Language Proficiency (IELTS, TOEFL, GRE, GMAT, or TOEIC): Both the original score certificates and real-time online verification via the respective official testing websites must be provided.
All applicants must present original documents for on-site inspection. Failure to comply will result in interview ineligibility. The School reserves the right to request additional verification from authorized institutions for any credential doubts. Applicants must provide supplementary materials within stipulated timelines. Any falsification will lead to immediate disqualification.

Note: Applicants who fail to attend the interview on time will be deemed to have voluntarily forfeited their interview and admission eligibility and shall bear all resulting consequences.
4.Interview Details
(1)Basic Evaluation: the interviewer will assess the candidate's academic background,professional knowledge, research capabilities, academic potential, analytical skills, innovative capacity,personal demeanor, and foreign language proficiency.
(2)Interview Format:individual interviews.
(3)Interview Requirements:Each candidate's interview shall last no less than 30 minutes, with the entire session being audio and video recorded. Candidates are required to prepare a 15-minute PowerPoint presentation covering the following: personal introduction, scientific research experience, and research proposal. At least 10 minutes of the presentation must be dedicated to the candidate's research experience (or experimental skills) and research proposal.Following the presentation,there will be Q&A session.
(4)Scoring:Panel members will evaluate candidates immediately following the interview, with the final score determined by averaging all individual assessments. All results are recorded on a 100-point scale, requiring a minimum passing score of 60. Candidates who fail to meet this threshold will not be admitted, while those achieving a passing score will be considered for admission based on comprehensive evaluation of their qualifications.
